Michelle Tanner is currently serving as one of the newest members of the St. George City Council. Michelle was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on Ellsworth Airforce base. Her family moved back to their roots in St. George, Utah when she was a young child. She loved growing up in Southern Utah where there was never a dull moment in a home with 6 older brothers. She fell in love with all of the outdoor activities St. George has to offer and has run 12 St. George Marathons.
Michelle received undergraduate degrees in nursing from DSU and BYU-I, and went on to receive a graduate degree as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She worked in Emergency Medicine for 10 years and now owns her own small medical clinic.
Mrs. Tanner has traveled on multiple humanitarian missions with the St. George Rotary Club, as well as several non-profit organizations. She sits on the board of Strobell Family Foundation which focuses on humanitarian efforts in 3rd world countries.
Above all, Michelle Tanner is a wife and mother. Her two children are who inspire her to do everything within her power to protect their God-given rights. Michelle is a fierce advocate for speaking truth and restoring the divinely inspired Constitutional principles in which this country was founded upon. Michelle ultimately put her livelihood on the line to speak publicly against mandates. She was ultimately terminated after over a decade in Emergency Medicine. She believes it is vital to place principle over popularity and is passionate about protecting all of our children's futures.
